This committee is the eyes and ears of America Helping Heroes.  They let soldiers and their families know about the organization and stay in close contact from deployment to the crucial months following homecoming.

They reach out and ascertain a soldier's needs from something simple like readying a house for a soldier's return -- to analyzing financial hardship that may already be taking place -- to seeing the early signs of the need for counselling.
Members of this committee are made up of former soldiers who have already experienced the perils of life after a war zone.  Their goal is to help returning troops to adjust, reintegrate, and realize that what they are feeling is normal.  They encourage the acceptance of any helpthat may be necessary.
This committee handles the fund raising for its "America Helping Heroes Community Soldier Fund" and distributes from that fund to its returning troops in financial need.  The fund is easily accessible to the soldier and provides help without embarrassment.  All  funds raised within a community stays in that community for its own soldiers.

This committee helps a soldier in the job hunt.  They will help a soldier with his or her resume and reach out to local businesses to help the soldier find employment.
This committee is comprised of individual doctors, counselors, dentists, and lawyers who volunteer a small amount of time every week to returning troops that may need help that is otherwise not readily available.
America Helping Heroes is a simple and manageable concept.  If all of us do a little --- it will add up to a lot.

With the help of communities across America -- no soldier will come home to unnecessary hardship and suffering.

Each Community Chapter is made up of 5 committees.  A brief description of each committee is on the right.  To find out more information on how you can volunteer in your local chapter -- please click here.

Whatever you do to help will make a huge difference.

Anyone from 9 to 90 can be involved which serves to bring
together a community and empower it -- while at the same time going the extra mile beyond the banners and rhetoric and showing the community's soldiers how much their service is really appreciated.
